Deposit Policy
| Please note the conditions in these next statements.
We will only keep your deposit for a puppy, after you have read and
agreed to these conditions. Please respond to this email, by
sending it as a reply and affirm that you agree to the conditions set
forth. After being notified of the birth of your puppy, you have 24 hours to respond to the announcement that you still want the puppy or that you want to back out of the agreement. Your $200 deposit will be refunded if you respond, in this timely manner, that you are backing out of our agreement. After the initial announcement, if you back out up to 4th week, then $100 of your deposit is refunded. If you back out, from the 5th to the 8th week, then None of your deposit will be refunded to you. If Kandi's Kritters backs out of the transaction, for any reason, then the buyer gets their full deposit refunded" (** except as noted below). Of the $200 deposit, a full refund will be made to the buyer if a puppy, of the sex they have designated as their choice, is not born in that litter. This is also very important, "these puppies come with Limited AKC registration". If you are a breeder, then please notify us prior to any sale! We require that you Spay/Neuter your puppy when your Veterinarian recommends it is best. At 5 weeks the puppies are implanted with their microchip. After that time, the first buyer will be asked to make a selection of their puppy and that microchip number is logged for that buyer. If any buyer does not make the trip for their selection, then Kandi’s Kritters will make the selection for you. We would choose a puppy that we would want to keep for ourselves. We keep our puppies for 8 weeks.* They learn their social skills and how to use a doggy door in those last few weeks. All of the new families should pick up their puppies at the end of the 8 week time frame, but no later than 9 weeks, unless prior arrangements are made.** When families pick up their puppy, the balance owed is due at that time. We only accept cash or a cashiers check for any balance owed. Please make any cashiers check out to "Kandia Hoyt". We are sorry if this policy causes you any inconvenience. * Transferring any puppy less than 8 weeks will only be done according to the provisions of California SB 914 - "written documentation from a licensed California Veterinarian" ** If a family does not pick up their puppy by the 9 weeks, or
by the pre-arranged date, then that family will be notified that the
transaction is terminated. Because the buyer has not met their side of
the agreement, NONE of their deposit will be refunded. We do
not ever want to do this to any family, but when one puppy is left and
we need the puppy kennel for other litters, we have no other choice
but to let that puppy go to another family.
